Old Venetian building
Yesterday, a private home Today, an elegant hotel in Venice
Once a refined private home of the 17th century, after careful restoration works Duodo Palace was reborn as a 4-star hotel in the historical center of Venice.
Hospitality and elegance have remained unchanged over time: we offer an attentive service, moments of relaxation at the Lounge Bar and the Corte, and experiences of Venetian life.
Dating back to the 17th century, this historical private home, now a 4-star hotel, is an elegant art site. The sophistication of furnishings and fabrics comes together with original frescoes, friezes, stuccoes by masters of the past, a well and a hearth, recreating the family atmosphere of this long-established stately home.

A combination of Renaissance and neoclassical architecture, the Duodo Palace boasts a five-century history. The home of the Minelli family, owners of Calle Minelli since 1650, it sat beside the Ateneo Veneto, home of the "Confraternita di Santa Maria della Giustizia", a confraternity named after the Madonna who was devoted in accompanying the condemned to the gallows. In the adjacent building, two famous courtesans welcomed their clients, arousing the hostility of the Brotherhood and the laughter of the Venetian population.
“A lot of whispering, a lot of quarreling was made today in the palace between the house of sinners and the house of sins.”
